Independent slots game producer Triple Edge Studios have announced the launch of their latest title, which has been developed solely for Microgaming operators.

Book of Oz Lock ‘N Spin is the second instalment in the global games provider’s Book of Oz slots series, following the successful launch of the original Book of Oz game.

Spirit Of Original Oz Title

The new Book of Oz title is based on a five-reel, ten-payline platform and retains many of the popular aspects of the original game, but with the addition of new elements, most notably the Lock ‘N Spin feature;

This gives players the chance to lock up as many as four reels and then spin again, giving them another chance to land a big prize.

In addition, according to Triple Edge, the Locking Reels feature offers the opportunity for players to profit from the book scatter symbols, which are a key part of the gameplay.

There are five book symbols in total, and these double as both a Wild and a Scatter, with reward multiples of up to 25 if you can trigger all five of the symbols.

Free Spin Tweak

The new instalment also promises a tweak to the Free Spin element of the gameplay.

This part of the game will give players access to a new Second Chance option, in which they can either keep the original symbol or take a chance on a reshuffle that may generate an upgrade.

The expanding and illuminating symbol on each reel promises a theoretical win potential of up to 5,000 multiples of the original bet, along with more rewards if a player lands three book symbols.

Triple Edge design lead Brendan Walton has promised that the new game will replicate the visual impact of the original while adding a new dimension to gameplay.

It sounds like Book of Oz Lock ‘N Spin will pack in an impressive number of new features and bring additional volatility and excitement to the Book of Oz series, and Triple Edge will be hoping that the upgrades will enable them to build on the success of the first instalment.
